What stays is fondness.
Even when relationships, passions, urges and intensities had died out. Then you know you had really loved.
Fondness is a strange wonderful feeling. It doesn't unsettle you, it doesn't torture you. It fills your heart with an overwhelming warmth and you find yourself smiling in remembrance of wonderful days spent.

Too wise to be true. Fondness is a direct derivative of the dimly lit fire within.
I only believe in shadows that flicker by the supreme timelessness of being a non-entity.
Sometimes, in the dark, these shadows take the form of Milady, there are hints of pink glow on the tip of the nose, or even a lock of hair on the forehead! And, then you know you had really loved, and how!
But what care I for words? :-)
Unsettlingly true. :)
